Take a chairlift to the summit or set off from the village along one of the many hiking trails.
With the snow melted, Silver Star Mountain comes alive with wildlife and beautiful wildflower meadows. Lucky
hikers may even see mule deer, the wonderfully blue Stellar's Jay, a lynx or even a black bear! |

explore Silver Star in a horsedrawn carriage?
The specialised chair lifts are equipped with bike racks so hiring a bike and getting it to the top of the mountain could not be easier!
Downhill riding fun, with trails for the greenest beginner to the experts seeking a challenge! For something a bit different, there's also
mountain boarding - off-road skateboarding in specially designed terrain parks! |

Rollerblading is an easy and fun way to explore the village and surrounding area, and the
National Altitude Training Centre is a unique facility equipped with a fitness and weights centre, an indoor climbing wall and
meeting rooms and a conference auditorium.
Nearby Vernon provides plenty of other opportunities to relax. Take in a round of golf in this well known golfing area,
or visit the water slide park! Don't forget the variety of restaurants and shopping in the area either! |

Home to the legendary water monster Ogopogo, Lake Okanagan offers activities to keep everyone happy!
Shaded picnic areas and playgrounds are great for the kids, whilst the more adventurous types may like to explore the underwater
dive park or try other water sports like water skiing or powerboating. Kayaking is very popular, as is going on a lake cruise and fishing.
